Objectives of CESR
- To create awareness about Ethics & Social Responsibility amongst stakeholders of the society and management students in particular
- To supplement management education through value based inputs
- To provide forum for academicians to widen knowledge in the field of Ethics & Social Responsibility
- To bring out research publications in the area of Ethics & Social Responsibility
- To provide consultancy services to corporate houses, NGOs & Government agencies in the area of Ethics & Social Responsibility
Activities and Events through CESR
- Faculty Development Programme on “Ethics and CSR- Issues on Role of Corporate in Preserving Environment and Role of Media” on 26th August, 2009.
Resource Persons: Dr. Nitin Khot(Environmentalist) and Mrs. Swati Jog (HR Manager Tarun Bharat, Belgaum) - Coordinators of CESR attended “International Conference on Global and Contextual Business Ethics”, during 25th to 27th April, 2010 at Infosys Training Centre, Mysore. The Conference was organized by Globethics.net and Centre for Corporate Governance & Citizenship, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
- Faculty Development Programme on “HRM and Ethics” on 14th August, 2010.
Resource Persons: Mr. Sampatkumar B.Aratti, Director HR-India Operations, Software AG, Bangalore - Organized an interactive session at KLS-IMER by Shri. Sunil Chincholkar, Pune on the topic “Management and Character Building based on the preaching’s of Shri. Samarth Ramdas Swami” on 12th October, 2010
- CESR took the lead to organize a visit for staff and students of IMER during “Youth Convention- Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Belgaum- Special Address by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam ”, on 07th February, 2011
- “Vanyatra” was organized jointly by Centre for Ethics & Social Responsibility, KLS-IMER and Ekal Abhiyan, Belgaum on 29th January, 2011 for the staff and students of the institute. The school at Village: Malagani, Taluk: Zoida, Distirct: Karwar (U.K) was visited during the Vanyatra
The objective of this “Vanyatra” for the faculty members of KLS-IMER was to-
- Create awareness about “Ekal Abhiyan”
- To witness the activities carried out at the schools in rural and tribal areas through “Ekal Abhiyan”
- To explore the opportunities for the students of IMER to take up social activities
- Organized Two Days Student Development Workshop on “Human Resource Information System (HRIS)” on 29th and 30th April 2011.

Quite impressive. I feel so happy when quality institutions do start mushrooming in every nook and corner of India. I t is good sign for new and resurgent India.
