KLS Institute of Management Education and Research (KLS IMER), Belagavi, organized a social outreach activity on Friday, 9th January 2026, by donating old newspapers and magazines to Shantai Vidyaadhar, Belagavi.

Shantai Vidyaadhar is a well-known initiative that supports students from underprivileged sections of society who are unable to afford educational expenses. Through funds generated from the collection and sale of old newspapers and scrap materials, the initiative has helped more than 1,000 students to complete their education in Engineering, Medical, and other professional degree programs till date.

KLS IMER has been actively associated with the Shantai Vidyaadhar initiative for the past 12 years, consistently contributing to its mission of social upliftment through education.

On this occasion, Mr. Vijay More, noted Social Activist, along with his associates, accepted the donation of over 1,500 kilograms of old newspapers on behalf of Shantai Vidyaadhar. The dignitaries addressed the students and highlighted the importance of social responsibility, community service, and collective efforts in uplifting the weaker sections of society.

Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director, KLS IMER, appreciated the organizing team for their dedicated efforts and encouraged students to actively participate in such socially relevant initiatives.

The event was successfully coordinated by the Library and Office teams of KLS IMER. students and staff members actively participated, making the initiative a meaningful and impactful success.
