KLS’ IMER organized National Level Chess Tournament at KLS IMER Campus on 20 th March 2024. Total 40 students from Kolhapur, Hubballi-Dharwad and Belagavi participated in this tournament..

Shri. Prakash Kulkarni senior chess player of Belgaum District Chess Association was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of Chess game in student life and how it enhances knowledge and sharpens the brain. Shri R.S. Mutalik Chairman Governing Council KLS IMER was the President for the function and he appreciated all the participants and winners of the chess tournament.

Dr. Arif Shaikh, Director KLS IMER along with the Chief Guest Shri Prakash Kulkarni and Chairman G.C. KLS IMER Shri R.S. Mutalik presented Cash Prizes, Trophies and Certificates for all the Winners and Participants. The event was organized by Mr. George Rodrigues Physical Education Director KLS IMER along with Chess Arbiters Mr. Girish Bachikar, Aakash Madiwalar and student volunteers Miss Shrinidhi Appugol, Jyotiba, Dhanashree and team.
